The Design Studio has seen another batch of upcoming models for the existing ranges. There are several new turret 6mm models including Chinese rocket artillery and various versions of a German hovertruck. Spaceship fans should take a look at the AmRep light carrier design, companion to the Lerchey class battleship.
4-Oct-2007 Holy Belgium ! -
A completely new depature for us soon - 28mm historical figures. If you pop along to the Design Studio you can catch a glimpse of the first models in a range of 1914 Great War figures. The first for release will be a batch of greatcoated Belgian infantry, which we're hoping to have ready for Crisis in (appropriately) Antwerp.
2-Oct-2007 SELWG Postage Offer -
To make up for the fact that SELWG has been cancelled this year, we've decided to run a time-limited postage offer. All UK orders received in the next week will be sent post-free, and so that non-UK customers don't feel left out you'll be getting 10% off postage too. EU customers will pay just 5% shipping and the rest of the world 10% (sorry, we couldn't afford to completely subsidise overseas postage but we hope you'll appreciate the offer anyway). 12th October - UPDATE - the offer has had such a good take-up that we've decided to extend it for another week until the 19th. This should also allow any orders stuck in the post strikes to get to us. 23th October - UPDATE - we've finally taken the offer down - now it's time to work through the mountain of orders that appeared as a result !

In case you'd missed it, unfortunately the SELWG show has been cancelled this year as the venue is unavailable. So apologies to anyone hoping to meet us there, but it's beyond our control. We were planning to release a number of new models at the show, these will still be coming out over the next few weeks.

The female warriors in Gael tribes are no less fierce and battle-hardened than their male counterparts. Some Gael units are composed entirely of these ferocious Amazon warriors, and to allow the creation of all-woman units (and believe me, Gael females really are ALL-woman !) we've created two new discounted army packs.

We'd been promising to release some bits and pieces for Nef scratchbuilders and converters for a while (as usual ...). Anyway, we've started to deliver by releasing our first batch of turrets - Single and Twin US gun turrets. More follow as and when we get the moulds sorted correctly.

We're now registered for the dreaded VAT (that's UK sales tax). For the moment we haven't altered our prices but be warned - we will have to instigate a modest price rise in the near future, so buy now ! However, for non-EU residents the good news is that everything is suddenly cheaper. If you've set your shipping destination to Rest-of-the-World the website will automatically deduct the 17.5% tax. This is roughly equivalent to free shipping. So if you've not bought from us before because you're wary of shipping charges, you no longer have any excuse !!

We have a bit of a problem at the moment - we've run out of copies of both the Aeronef Rulebook and the Captain's Handbook. Such has been the success of Aeronef that Wessex Games don't have any copies at the moment either and are awaiting a reprint. So until that happens, unfortunately we are unable to supply either rulebook or any starter packs.

The Celtos price lists have been updated again. We now have various sizes of discounted army and unit packs, new organisation for the troop blisters and all figures are now available individually. So no more random selections, you can select exactly the figures that you want. The 20% sale has ended, so our standard prices are now posted - however, these are still lower than the previous Celtos price (in fact we've lowered some prices, such as cavalry, still further).

You've probably noticed some cosmetic and functional changes to the website. The non-frames version now looks more like the framed one with a left-side menu bar. The separate product photo pages have gone, to be replaced by buttons on the main product page to step through the photos. Thanks to our friends at PayPal, we're now able to take credit card payments in UK Sterling, US dollars or Euros. This won't affect the amount you pay, but might save some mental arithmetic when trying to work out conversion rates.
