More pictures from John, this time showing off his Chinese fleet. Since we don't yet make any specific Chinese craft, John's taken various digs from different ranges and made them into the scourge of the Orient ! He sent us some notes on the meaning of the coloured bands as well.

The Northern Sky Fleet in formation over the Chinese coast.

A different view, showing off some of the buildings on the islands.

Overflying an island fortification.

A spar torpedo vessel.

The former US dig cruiser 'Chang Feng'

The 'Ping Yuen', another large dig cruiser.

Combat ! The 'Chang Feng' moves to attack a Derskyii destroyer.

A Dobrovolets of the Russian navy chases off a Chinese torpedo dig.

A melee ensues.

Chinese Dig squadron.

German Brandenburg in Chinese colours.

"The two larger digs form part of the Centre Squadron of the fleet and so carry yellow bands identifying their position in the fleet. The ex-American Kentucky class cruiser is the Chang Feng and carries the character "Feng" on the yellow band. The generic large dig is the cruiser Ping Yuen and is identified by the character "Ping". The spar torpedo boats form part of the fleet's left wing and thus carry blue bands on their hulls (the colours are from traditional ones used by Chinese armies). Their markings are just vaguely Chinese squiggles, which I hope don't have highly offensive meanings!"
