Yet more pictures from John, this time showing off his Russian fleet; 'Chronologically, these vessels are from an earlier period than my previous vessels - they are in peace-time black (I use dark grey for such small scale models instead of black) and have the dark wood wheelhouses and bridges common on many early ironclad era naval vessels. In my timeline, these vessels represent a squadron of older vessels based in the Russian Far-East before large scale hostilities broke out against China - later vessels despatched to this war zone consisted of newer aeronef types finished in a light and medium dark grey scheme. The two Borodinos are in different schemes, in keeping with the units I've already done. The one with the First Pacific Squadron is in the black (dark grey) and white used by Russian aerial vessels stationed in the Far East before widespread hostilities broke out with China, whereas the other Borodino serves with the Second Pacific Squadron and carries the light grey/medium grey used by other vessels in that unit (she does still retain a black hull, however). With hindsight, I think I'd have added a catapult and scout plane on top the rear turrets of the Borodinos, with a crane somewhere near the turret. My other idea for them would have been to add an Archangelsk turret on top of each of the main turrets, like the historical USS Kearsage from 1900. Maybe those are ideas for the future...'
