As you may know, Brigade models is very much a part-time affair run by the three of us in
our spare time. Once or twice a week we meet up in our workshop (currently attached to Steve's
farm shop) to lovingly cast up the models
that some people out there actually seem to quite like (!). To get us through these evenings we
(well, Steve mostly) find ourselves consuming copious quantities of various baked confectionaries, cakes,
biscuits or anything else that provides us with what we need for casting sessions. These requirements
include calories to fortify us for the hard (?) work ahead, insulation against the cold (it's
subzero in that workshop on a winter's evening), sugar for energy and a general light-headed 'buzz'
and finally, simple comfort eating for those sessions when the one model you need to complete that week's
orders fails to cast for the fourth time in succession.
Knowing how much the average 'gamer values their stomach, we thought we'd offer you the benefits of
our insight and expertise in our occasional Great Casting Cake series. Let the feast commence ...
