Verdicts

Tony : Promising looking icing was filled to a disappointingly shallow depth with the bulk of the centre of the cake simply made up of pastry. Lemon filling was the merest smear of yellow. Surprisingly dry. 4/10

Steve : A bit disappointing. I had to look hard to find any lemon or bakewell flavour. Topping was nice and thick though, so good sugar fix 3/10

Phil : Pastry rather dry and crispy - definitely requires generous quantities of tea to wash them down. A good alternative to normal Cherry Bakewells. Not the best Lemon ones on the market. 5/10
