However this should please any Japanese Imperial Skies admirals, as you&#8217;re getting a pair of new battlecruisers a week early. <\/p>\n<p>The Haruna class are the fastest capital ships in the Imperial Japanese fleet, often being deployed in fast scouting groups accompanied by light cruisers and escorts. The Haruna was identified as being suitable for conversion to a light carrier, so several vessels were earmarked for modification. Their rear main turrets were removed and replaced by a hangar and short flight deck. The secondary turrets were replaced by rapid-firing small calibre cannon for defence against enemy aircraft, with the aft pair relocated from the superstructure to the quarter deck.
