Battle of the Puffin Islands

The Battle of the Puffin Islands was a one-off Aeronef game played at the home of club treasurer Mark Harris over the Christmas break one year (hence the appearance of various bits of left-over Christmas goodies at the edges of some photos ...).

The game was set in the South Atlantic as the British, Germans, Argentinians and Brazilians battled for control of the fictitious South Puffin Islands (cunningly crafted from scrap polystyrene with a hot wire cutter the day before the game).

The details of the game are lost in the mists of time, although I recall a heavy defeat being incurred by the Germans and Argentinians ... so instead of a full AAR, here are a few pretty photos.

Brazilians and Argentinians from the collection of Andy King, British Aeronef by Phil Richards, Germans, British dreadnought and islands by Tony Francis.
