Club AGM, 2003 |
The Club AGM took place at 12.00 on the 11th January during the normal Club Meeting and this is how it went.
Chairman - Trevor Pearless : re-elected unopposed (as usual)
Secretary - Brian Simons : re-elected unopposed (again as usual)
Treasurer - Tony has stood down from this position after doing a such a good
job for soooo many years due to family commitments. I and the club would
like to offer our thanks for the work that he has put in.
Mark Harris, who had acted as the unofficial Assistant Treasurer for the last year
or so, was duly elected as Treasurer unopposed.
Web Site Master - (a new role for one of the Committee Members) Tony Francis was elected to the position in his absence, but with his knowledge, again unopposed.
Game and Interest Coordinator - ( a new role for the second Committee Member) Paul Lymath was elected to this position, again unopposed.
It was proposed by the Chairman that the fees would remain at £
10.00 per year and subs at £ 2.00 per meeting. This is for Adults with
reductions for under 18s. These amounts had been introduced at a Special GM
set during last year.
This was voted for and agreed with no-one voting against.
One final matter was raised by Steve Tucker - that the club should look to placing an advertisement in one of the wargaming publications with the aim to increase membership. It was discussed and agreed that the five Club Officers will look into doing this during 2003.
The AGM was then closed with the Chairman wishing everyone good gaming in 2003.
I would like to point out that this has taken longer to write than to hold . So if you like quick AGMs this is the club to join.
Trevor Pearless (chairman)
