Norman(dy) Conquest

As promised, more new releases today. We’re moving down in scale from the 15mm and 6mm buildings of last week and back into our 2mm range.

We have two much requested items that we snuck into production at the very last minute (and which sold out at Salute) – a set of Norman village and agricultural buildings plus an accompanying set of churches. Most of these buildings are based on the 6mm items in our Shapeways 3D-printed range which, in turn, were researched for the Pegasus Bridge project a couple of years ago.

The church set includes the famous one at St Mere Eglise which was taken by the 82nd Airborne on D-Day and on which Pvt John Steel caught his ‘chute and dangled from the steeple for the duration of the battle.

Also included is the church at Benouville, close to Pegasus Bridge. This was hit by a PIAT round on D-Day in an effort to dislodge a sniper. There’s also a third, more generic church and, as an added bonus a Mairie (town hall), also from Benouville.

As if that wasn’t enough, I’ve also added the Type T2 Hangar to accompany the recently released RAF Airfield set. This resin model will extend your airfield to handle much larger aircraft.

SSS-8032 – T2 Hangar – £2.00
SSS-8033 – Normandy Village – £5.50
SSS-8034 – Normandy Churches – £5.00
